The University of Basel as the owner of the website www.geschichtedersozialensicherheit.ch (hereafter "History of Social Security") places great importance on the protection of personal data.

With this privacy policy, we would like to inform you which data is collected, processed and disclosed by you as a user of the "History of Social Security" website and for what purposes, as well as the measures taken by the platform operator to ensure the security of this data. Your privacy is of great importance to the website "History of Social Security". For this reason, the web analysis component Matomo is integrated into the website "History of Social Security". Matomo is a web analysis tool for evaluating data and the behaviour of users of the website. The data collected by Matomo is stored on servers in Switzerland. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of the platform. The "History of Social Security" website only uses a cookie for web analytics in accordance with section 30.

The website "History of Social Security" uses the services "Google Fonts" and "Adobe Fonts" for the correct display of the integrated fonts. For this purpose, the providers record the IP address of the users of the "History of Social Security" website. The services are designed to limit the collection, storage and use of end user data to what is necessary for the efficient provision of fonts. The non-commercial service "Metagrid" of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS) is integrated into the "History of Social Security" website. 6. Links to Websites of External Providers

The owner of the "History of Social Security" website has not checked external websites connected via hyperlinks and accepts no liability for their content or for the products, services and other offers provided on them.

7. Modification of Content

"History of Social Security" reserves the right to change or delete content at any time.

8. Access Data

The hosting provider (Nine Internet Solutions AG) of the "History of Social Security" website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits.

The following data is transmitted to the hosting provider:

No personal data is stored when you access our website. The contact form is an exception. When you fill in the contact form, we collect your full name and e-mail address. This information is treated confidentially and is not passed on.
